Altoona Dance Theatre

"The Altoona Dance Theatre guides young dancers through the world of ballet from mommy and me classes to pre-school levels, then on to professional levels in a positive, nurturing environment. We appreciate the opportunity to share the excitement, challenge and beauty of dance. We are committed to the belief that ballet and other forms of dance improve confidence, concentration, coordination, memorization and discipline. The creativity, grace and love of dance will enhance your child's life forever. The Altoona Dance Theatre provides professional instruction and performance experience for all ages in a caring environment. We want to make your child's dreams a reality."

ADTC (Altoona Dance Theatre Company)

Is our schools Pre-Professional Company. These students are carefully selected through and interview questioner and an audition; where a panel of judges evaluate their technique. These students have made the decision to be serious in their training therefore they can make a career of dance in their future. We ask the dancers accepted to sign a contract showing their dedication, and knowledge that with hours of dance training they can succeed, they also have to keep their academics at there highest.

The Altoona Dance Theatre has, for the past 5 years of business,
has been giving scholarships to at least 5 dancers a year who deserve quality training
and may not be able to afford this sort of program, and to extend current students
options to all dance genres.

There were 50 children and young adults from the area, who attended the Talent Scout Peter Sklars, lecture and interview in Nov. 2008, 8 students were chosen. Dalton Stone, Hunter Osmolinski, Xena Price, Nicole Wilt, Zoe Wilson, Chelsea Zeak, Kaitlyn Kuzio, and Lydia Orr.  These 3 dance students were chosen out of the 50 students and they are headed to New York with Peter Skylar.
